In other developments, FDA Commissioner Andrew von Eschenbach, MD, revealed two major changes in the agency’s senior leadership team in the beginning of the year. First, it was announced that Stephen Sundlof, DVM, PhD, would move from director of FDA’s Center for Veterinary Medicine (CVM) to director of the FDA’s Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition (CFSAN). In his place, Bernadette Dunham, DVM, PhD, deputy director of CVM, would assume the position of director of CVM.
